Holy crap. I end up finding a better entry than this that's practically the same idea.
I've always wanted to submit into a contest... I guess I'm shy about it, but here goes.
I wasn't going to submit this at all, since I've lost confidence in the idea. And I'm not going to work anymore into this despite that I feel I should. But I'm submitting anyway--never know what can happen.
In spite of my self-criticism that I'm going to refrain from filling up this space with, I started off thinking about influences and connections between games. The grapple thingies in LittleBIGPlanet 2 reminded me of a hookshot in Zelda (well duh) and the grapple beam in Metroid, so I was thinking about how I could insert maybe only a small element of a game I like the most into my own little level for LittleBIGPlanet.
The planets given in the asset pack for the contest remind me of Super Mario Galaxy's little planets. And Super Mario Galaxy is an amazing game.
I didn't want to just make a Super Mario Galaxy level... but rather just take something from it.
So, I took the bumblebee suit. I love that suit too much. But not as much as the Boo one...
I'm not sure, but I just imagined what a Sackboy/girl would do dressed as a bumblebee, and what abilities it could grant them. I don't know, but I imagined things like being able to hover for a short amount of time, being able to stick and cling to honey and use a honey gun (which, heck, maybe you could shoot honey at places and then be able to grab onto that honey to get about, I dunno).
Other than that, I like small, cute things. Well, most of them.
A tiny little sackbee wandering about in the giant leafy-ness... hmm.
