Yo bro

I'm still here, alive, trying to spew things out as I plod along. I feel almost bad for saying that I am at loss for any ideas nowadays and find myself struggling to keep up with my own expectations.
I also feel the need to apologise for the lack of replies I've been giving. I'll get there eventually.
But that's nothing to do with this, so I'll cut it off there.

This is just a quick-ish shading exercise that was... surprisingly refreshing to do. I stalked images of Against The Flood and came across this picture of their bassist.
Their bassist happens to be my brother--and call me biased, but I oddly adored the image.
His hands... and even the framing of the photograph. I don't know, but it was rather aesthetically pleasing.
So I painted it.

I'm tired in more ways than one, so just having to focus on tones and not colour was a breather of sorts.
It feels so good to have achieved at least this today. It always feels good to finish something off with satisfaction, and I haven't felt that in a while.
It's a shame that this happened within the LAST hour and a half of my day... why do we all come up with pieces so late at night?

I really need to go to bed.
